Thu, Sep 4 - Hurricane Lorena making landfall tomorrow - getting rain from it today

Yesterday was hot, following the pattern of the last few days. It was, however, a little more cloudy so it didn't get as hot as it could have been. Hurricane Lorena is expected to make landfall in Baja California tomorrow evening. This hurricane has already been feeding the Southwest U.S. with large amounts of Pacific water. This moist air is gradually moving to the North, bringing rain into our area. We are expecting rain in Southern Utah this morning, reaching the Sanpete Valley this afternoon. We will have good chances of rain and thunderstorms today, Friday, and Saturday. The storm will gradually clear, making way for another warm and sunny beginning to next week, though not as warm as it has been. High temperatures for the next week will be around 80*F.  Day Low (*F) High (*F) Precipitation Yesterday 51.6 90.6 0.00 Today 52.6 83 40% Tomorrow 51 83 30% For current conditions, visit the Snow College Weather Center .
