A lingering cold airmass has moved over our area, which caused the temperatures to plummet. With the clear skies, we will be able to warm up a fair amount, but because of the cold airmass, we will only be able to warm up to the low 30's. This will cause temperatures tomorrow morning to be about the same or slightly colder.

  1. My initial inclination was to give a forecast high today of 37*F. When I saw the NWS forecast and the cold air pushing into the area, I pushed my forecast down to 34*F. I had a feeling NWS was too low, but I didn't know how low.

As I write this at 4:17pm, the temperature on campus is 38.53*F. Should have followed my instincts.
