Thu, Aug 28 - Starting to dry out
With another 0.12" of rain falling yesterday, that brings our total rain for the last week to 0.64"! With all the humid and chilly air, a heavy fog formed over the bottom of the Sanpete valley this morning, but should clear out quickly.
The pattern of rain is now tapering off. There is a chance for a little more rain this afternoon, but we will dry out through the weekend.
Temperatures have definitely made it feel like falltime. However, this is just a temporary thing as the temperatures will rise again into the mid- to high-80's over the weekend as we dry out.
There is a low pressure forming off the west coast. Previously, it looked like it would bring more humid air into our area next week. The most recent forecasts show the low pressure system forming further to the north, thus leaving us unaffected. Although we will still get some humid air and potential for rain from the Southwest Monsoon, the chances of rain next week have dropped significantly.
