February 16 - Warm through Saturday

This high pressure brought clear skies and beautiful weather, which explains why we were able to reach temperatures in the low 40's. It also explains the colder temperatures, as we can more easily radiate heat away. With the clear skies, we will be able to warm up a fair amount, but because of the cold airmass, we will only be able to warm up to the low 30's. This will cause temperatures tomorrow morning to be about the same or slightly colder.  Forecast NWS Normal Today’s High 34*F 33*F 41*F Tonight’s Low 7*F 5*F 21*F Tomorrow’s High 29*F 27*F 41*F Today’s Precipitation 0% 7% 0.04" -- Michael E. Although skies have cleared, there is still a relatively high amount of water vapor in the air. So, when the clear air allowed us to cool last night, it was able to cool to the saturation point quickly, producing large amounts of fog. Although we will be warming up, there is still a cold airmass aloft, limiting how warm we can get. The cold airmass will remain through about Friday, keeping our high temperatures in the high 30's. Temperatures may get up into the 40's for Friday and the weekend. -- Michael E. Olson
